We consider children and young people to be an extremely important part of our Beacon community. We take their care very seriously, but love to provide fun, challenging and safe environments for them to learn and play in. Here are some of our Youth and Children activities for you to find out more….
Sunday Children’s Church
Our Sunday morning 9.30am & 11.30am services at Sandon Road (ST16 3HW) includes a wide variety of children’s activities. For our youngest attendees (under 3’s) we can provide a selection of toys to keep little hands busy while they accompany their parents or carers in the service.
Those aged 3-6 years can enjoy their own class with a Bible story, crafts and plenty of themed free play. Those aged 7-11 years get the opportunity for more active games, Bible story and teaching as well as crafts. High schoolers can take part in a Bible discussion with games and activities.
Youth
We also run a number of small groups for young people providing them the opportunity to grow in their faith together. For more information about youth activities please contact [email protected].
Stay and Play (babies and toddlers)
‘Stay and Play’ runs every Tuesday during term time at Sandon Road Baptist Church from 10.00-11.30am. This friendly group offers an opportunity for parents and carers and their children to enjoy a wide range of play activities, an enclosed outdoor play area and snacks and drinks for both parents, carers and children. No pre-booking is required, just come along and join in. The first session is free then it’s £1 per family. For more information contact [email protected].
On Thursdays during term time at Beacon Church House, 19 Jefferson Walk, Marston Grange, ST16 1WF, we have a baby and toddler ‘Stay and Play’ from 10.00-11.30am. This friendly group offers an opportunity for parents and carers and their children to enjoy a wide range of play activities. No pre-booking is required, just come along and join in. Brigades
Girls Association meet on Wednesdays from 6.30pm at Sandon Road. The group for ages 5 to 18 years have a fun evening of games, activities and crafts. For more information contact Jane Jones on 01785 813053 or email [email protected].

Messy Church
Beacon Church runs ‘Messy Church’ at Sandon Road Baptist Church every school holiday.

Sandon Road Pre-school Playgroup
Sandon Road Pre-school operates five days a week from 9.00am to 3.00pm. The Pre-School accepts children from the age of two years old. It operates as a not for profit venture and is hugely committed to the development and learning of the children in its care.
